The article reports on the inaugural day of the two-day IIAMUN (India International Movement to United Nations) conference held at The Ummed School in Jodhpur. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of The Ummed School, E.P.S., and Mayur Chopasni, among other institutions.
The chief guests for the program included Shri Mithlesh Vinduja, Senior Director of IIAMUN, and Dr. D.R. Mehta, a senior retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Also present was Dr. Jyoti Katju, a renowned personality development trainer and educationist.
The two-day event involved various committees, including the UN Environment Program, the UN Security Council, the Global Summit of Influence, the Lok Sabha, and the formation of the ISI. The goal of the program is to foster dialogue, discussion, and critical thinking among students on global and national issues, helping them develop excellent communication skills.
The program convenors—Simran Gill, Rikita Dave, and Tejvendrasingh—were praised for their efforts. The school principal, Ekta Balia, extended her best wishes to all the students participating in the two-day conference.
